On Location Milwaukee

We visited Lynden 2 weeks ago and again today. The weather hasn't been too cooperative, but it's still a great place to draw. Today I made this drawing of the George Sugarman sculpture. It seems simultaneously typographic and figurative.

Today was a beautiful day at Hubbard Park. We decided to leave when the park was beginning to be over taken by a wedding party. This was also true of the Boerner Botanical Gardens last time we got together. I'm glad that Milwaukee County Parks can generate income for upkeep.

Hubbard Park Milwaukee

A few of us got together at the busy Hubbard Park on the Milwaukee River.

Today I thought it might be nice to go to the MPM for free day and air conditioning, but so did everyone else who is half my size. The place was overrun with kids who were having an exceedingly good time. I headed across the street to a more conducive environment.

Some of the On Location crew got together after a long hiatus and went to the Boehner Botanical Gardens. Every one complained about being a little out of practice but were still excited to get together again in the near future.
